Under the development of smart city, 5G and IoT, the multi-application smart pole was born. The "Smart pole" has become one of the new symbols of modern city construction worldwide. Through the construction of smart poles, an intelligent perception network with comprehensive coverage and interconnection will be built to promote the implementation of smart transportation, smart energy, smart municipal administration, smart community and other applications, so as to realize the intelligent management of urban agglomeration.
The multi-application smart pole is new type of information infrastructure including various cutting-edge technology and application. It has the trinity characteristics of "net, point and pole", forming a smart perception network, realizing the fine management of all areas of the city and intensive utilization of urban resources, so that all kinds of information data of the road can be shared, eliminating the phenomenon of information islet.
To meet the needs of government and answer the development direction of the industry, the "Smart City Application under 5G+ Smart Pole - Industrial Chain Construction Seminar" was held at Huaquan Electrical Ltd on July 2, 2020. This conference is organized by Foshan Gaoming District Economic Promotion Bureau and hosted by Huaquan. The meeting was attended by Gaoming District Economic Promotion sub-office, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Gaoming District, CCC-FHDI Engineering Co.,Ltd, major 5G operators and other enterprises. Discussions and exchanges were held on the construction and application of "digital infrastructure such as 5G+ smart poles" and "integrated cloud Platform of smart Municipal and Lighting".

Mr Yang, director of Economic Promotion Bureau of Gaoming District, delivered a summary speech at the seminar. The "multi-application" smart pole will become an important carrier of 5G. Huaquan will give priority to solve the problems of urban light poles and 5G base stations. Overall consideration, lighting, communications, road signs, monitoring, environment monitoring, radio, information release and other functions, preparation of technical guidance, to build more business communication platform. Establish rules for project approval, design, construction, acceptance, operation and maintenance of smart poles to avoid repeated investment, repeated excavation and repeated disturbance to the people. While accelerating the layout of 5G network construction, urban infrastructure problems such as "multi-pole brim" and "single-pole single-use" will be solved, and a new generation of information infrastructure will be built to realize "hard connectivity" of smart infrastructure and "soft connectivity" of integrated data sharing applications.
